Yoga is an ancient art that originated in India almost around thousands of years ago. Yoga is a way of living that aims towards a healthy mind in a healthy body. Ancient people used to practice yoga and meditation on daily basis to live a healthy life. It is an ancient Indian culture and is widely practiced in India. But it is also adopted by various foreign countries and nationals as well. People visit India to learn yoga. In simple words, we can say that yoga is the way that a person should live. It is a exercise that helps in learning mental and physical discipline through its regular practice.

Yoga also helps in balancing the relationship between mind and body. However, these days practicing yoga is declined, in such a crowded and hectic environment. Yoga is safe and can be practiced safely by anyone and at any time, even children and older people can also do it and gain all its benefits. Earlier it was practiced by yogis to meditate them, but today, it can be considered as the best way to live a healthy and robust life.

There are number of benefits of practicing yoga. The art of practicing yoga on regular basis helps in controlling an individual’s mind, body and soul. It helps to manage stress and anxiety and keeps you relaxed and stress-free. It also helps in increasing flexibility, muscle strength of one’s body, and improves respiration and vitality. Yoga might seem like just stretching, but it can do much more for your body from the way you feel, look and move. Regular practice of yoga can help lose weight, relieve stress, improve immunity and maintain a healthier lifestyle in this world where unhealthy lifestyle has become a constant issue for everyone.

The very best time to practice yoga is in the morning, before breakfast. Upon waking, empty the bowels, then commence the day with yoga practices. The second most conductive time is early evening, usually around sunset. It is of course far better to do something at a time of the day which suits one, rather than to miss out by being too rigid or idealistic.

To conclude, I would like to say that, the purpose of Yoga is to create harmony in the physical, vital, psychological and spiritual aspects of the human so, if we want a healthy and harmonious life, it is good to practice yoga daily. By regular practice, you can enjoy happiness and peace and stay healthy. On this 7th international yoga day i.e 21–06–2021 let us all pledge to do exercise and yoga everyday.
